Like visual melt, I used Graphic Hug during my work based learning module to help collect research from an alternate source to what I had been using and I found that this gave me a wider range of resources to look at, which in turn varied my outcomes. By looking at various sources of design work I found that it helped me to gain a greater understanding into what was happening in the world of design and the trends that were popping up at the time.
I feel that it is always important to look at what is being done by others and what they are inspired by, however I feel that this should not stop you from doing what you want, and that you should always do your own thing and not copy what others are doing
