Toko: City of Sydney Hoarding Policy

'The City has developed a ‘Hoardings Policy’ to manage street-facing hoardings used to screen and protect the public from building developments around the City. An opportunity presents to re-purpose and reinterpret these hoarding spaces as public artworks, enhancing the public domain and making a meaningful contribution to ‘Creative City’ Sydney.'

I looked at the work of Toko during my most recent module, as a potential way of reimagining the city. The thought was that I could redesign all of the hoarding around building sites to feature the work of local artists and designers to showcase the talents of the region whilst brightening up the city.
