Process

The next college module was the one that I was most looking forward to with it being editorial based. However unlike any previous editorial module, the final outcome didn't have to be a magazine spread. As long as the outcome used grid systems it was ok, so this meant that it could be a poster, a magazine, a newspaper or even playing cards. This was a very open brief as there was no set content, apart from the word "Process". The thinking behind this was that the tutor wanted us to look into the old processes of graphic design, and to know where the subject has come from rather than taking macs for granted. The brief was therefore open to interpretation so I could be as creative or as structured and corporate as I wanted.

Like previous modules, I have conducted a SWOT analysis so that I can reflect on how well I have performed in this module.

Strengths - Time management, thinking up a variety of ideas

Weaknesses - Sometimes get too involved in the researching side of things and don't decide on an idea to run with

Opportunities - To manage my projects better and make a decision on an idea early on

Threats - I'm going on my placement half way through the project so this could stop me from getting as much work done as I want

The targets that I have set myself are;

- To produce a creative solution to the brief
- To gain a greater understanding into the subject of graphic design
- To manage my time around my upcoming placement
