No matter what work Michal C Place and the guys over at build seem to produce, it always amazes me the quality of the designs and just how good they look! They are defintely one of my favourite design agencies to follow as their work varies from branding to album artwork yet still has the same distinctive feel that is recognisable throughout their work.
When designing the Bedrock album cover I looked particularly at the 'Mars - Scale Series' and took inspiration from this as it was more along the lines of what I was designing. I tried to emulate the simple nature, letting the main shape speak for itself, however I also made sure to see what else they were doing at the time to see how I could design other elements to accompany the album cover and have the same feel, for example how the posters would be different in look yet still be part of the album campaign.
The way that they have the same feel throughout their work even in different projects was a big help as it allowed me to see how design agencies have their own style, and how I could start to recognise and embrace the style that I have when it comes to design
